Configure AP using hostap vs using wireless tools.

Hi All,

I have been doing some reconfiguration of my wireless router.
So we are using command tools like iwpriv and iwconfig.
for example:

iwconfig ath0 essid 'GoToHell'
iwpriv ath0 hide_ssid 0
iwpriv ath0 ppa 1
iwpriv wifi0 setCountryID 840
iwconfig ath0 channel 6
iwpriv ath0 doth 0
iwpriv ath0 ap_bridge 0
iwconfig ath0 txpower 30
iwpriv ath0 bintval 400
iwpriv ath0 dtim_period 3
iwconfig ath0 rts 256
iwconfig ath0 frag 2346
iwpriv ath0 wmm 1
iwpriv ath0 powersave 1
iwpriv ath0 hbrtimer 1
iwpriv ath0 protmode 1
iwconfig ath0 rate auto
iwpriv ath0 disablecoext 1
iwpriv ath0 inact_init 90
iwpriv ath0 doth 1
iwpriv ath0 doth_pwrtgt 26
iwpriv ath0 cwmin 3 1 2
iwpriv ath0 cwmax 1 0 5
iwpriv ath0 txoplimit 0 0 1024
iwpriv ath0 aifs 0 0 3
iwpriv ath0 acm 0 1 1
iwpriv ath0 chwidth 2
iwpriv ath0 chextoffset 3
iwpriv ath0 uapsd 1
iwpriv ath0 maccmd 3
iwpriv ath0 maccmd 0
iwpriv ath0 wpa 3
iwpriv ath0 ap_bridge 0
iwpriv ath0 wds 0
ifconfig ath0 up
iwconfig ath0 channel 6
ifconfig ath0 down
ifconfig ath0 up

Along with this we also configure hostapd.conf with almost similar settings.

So my question is that can we just user the hostapd hostapd.conf configuration to set up AP,
Eliminating the wireless tools setting.

Please share your thought on this.
