wireless disconnect problem

Hi,

I run gentoo on a macbook and use wpa_supplicant for wireless. I can
connect fine
but periodically I will lose the connection and I can't tell why. This happens
on a lot of different networks, and it does not seem to have to do
with the network.

This is an example of the wpa_cli output when this happens.

This is my setup:

Kernel: 2.6.24-gentoo-r8 with the mactel patches.

madwifi: module built from source svn version r3635.

wpa_supplicant 0.5.7 (latest stable on gentoo amd64).

wireless card: Network controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5418
802.11a/b/g/n Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01)

How do I begin to troubleshoot this problem?
