hostapd runs with adm8211?

Hi folks :-)

Sorry for my banal question, using debian stable, I installed hostapd 
v.0.5.5-3.1
 
In the howto I read that hostapd runs with: Host AP, madwifi, Prism54 drivers 
(and bsd) - (if host ap isn't a driver, what is?)

My pci wireless card to run uses adm8211 kernel module, does hostapd runs with 
this driver? Or I have to do a bridge?
