USB wireless cards

Hi,

I am a new user of HostAP and I would like to use it in order to test a
new EAP method. 

The problem is that my wireless device (ipw2200) doesn't support master
mode. is it possible to use an USB wireless adaptor with hostAP (is mode
master supported, is there any linux driver) ?

Finally, having 2 wireless cards (for example ipw2200 & usb adaptor), is
it possible to use the XSupplicant and Authenticator on the same
machine.
