Multiple clients on ath0 authentication failure

Hi,
I've just setup a DLink card with an atheros chipset as an AP, using hostapd
and madwifi.  I'm using the stock pacakges available in ubuntu gutsy.
However, this appears to only allow one client to connect, what am I
missing?  When the second client connects, it just gets an authentication
failure message.
