Help on hostp acting as RADIUS Server

Maybe I'm missing something here, but this does not seem to make much
sense.. So you would like to use an external RADIUS server for the
802.1X authenticator(?), and are asking whether the integrated RADIUS
server to be this "external" server(?). I don't see much point in that
since the direct use of the internal EAP server would have the same
behavior without the added complexity (more CPU time needed) of going
through the RADIUS code.

Did I misunderstand what you are trying to do? If yes, could you please
explain the desired configuration with bit more details? If not, could
you please explain why you would like to use RADIUS in such a case?
