TXPOWER has no impact on ZCOM XI-325H?

Hi!
I have a problem with my ZCOM PCMCIA card XI-325H. It seems everything works, 
I just couldn't measure any changes in the strength of received signal on 
another computer when I changed the TXPOWER setting in the master mode. The 
numbers change in my iwconfig, but the other computer receives always the 
same signal.

I'm using kernel 2.4.20 (with standard WE14) with an ACPI patch (because of my 
notebook), pcmcia-cs 3.2.3, wireless tools v25. The base of the system is 
RedHat 8.0.

Any ideas what's wrong? Is it possible to change the txpower dynamically or do 
I have to "restart" or "reset" anything? What?
