That's unfortunate. I don't have easy access to Windows 2000 to test the
WMI code, so it is bit of a experimentation and hoping for the best..

This is not supposed to be fatal error. I was kind of expecting to see
some of the WMI operation to fail and added fallback to using the old
mechanism for retrieving adapter description (i.e., something that may
not work with all USB adapters).

Could you please send full debug log from wpa_supplicant to provide bit
more context to understand what exactly happened?
