[VPN] Netgear FVM318 routers and network problems

I may have fixed the problems. I definitely fixed the first one, by replacing the automatic detection of the DNS server with our server's IP address in the IP properties window, and also looking at DNS in Admin Tools- I noticed it didn't have my computer, no reverse lookup zone, and the wrong IP addresses for the other computers in the domain. I added my computer with it's current IP address, and added a reverse lookup zone. My computer starts up in less than 20seconds after logging on, so I fixed the IP addresses of all the other computers to what the router said they were. I haven't had a chance to test it on other computers yet to see if they start up faster, now.

could you give a litlle more information on the network topology and the
supposed relationship with VPN's ? I suppose you do logon trough the vpn
client ?

The DSL goes into the DSL modem, then to the router, and the server and hub connect to the router. The router does the DHCP. The other router is in the other office, 30 miles away. It's set up the same way. The VPN part works fine- all computers in both offices show up in Network Neighborhood.

I keep getting "network path not found" messages. It doesn't make sense because my TCP/IP settings are the same as all the other computers, I'm in the Active Directory list of computers, and my computer has access to the server and shared folders. The router shows my computer and IP address along with all the others. But the Network Neighborhood shows my computer in Workgroup, and everyone else's in the CompanyDomain.
