[VPN] Multiple VPN Clients

Another option along Tina's suggestion might be to go with a 3rd party client such as SafeNet that can be configured to work with multiple types of gateways. As opposed to trying to get the proprietary clients to interop.

Just a suggestion.

I concur. At least on Windows boxes, most VPN clients replace the Windows
networking library (winsock.dll and its relatives) with a custom client;
once you've loaded one you're locked into that particular piece of
software. If you try to add another one, you have a dreadful tendency to
end up re-installing TCP/IP -- or in really bad cases, the entire damn
operating system.

You might be able to pull something like this off by using VMware and
actually installing the VPN clients on different virtual machines, but
that leadsto other problems.

Any chance that the clients can be configured with separate information
for the different gateways they're using? I would naively expect, for
instance, that I'd be able to get a Nortel client talking to a c Cisco VPN
concentrator.
