[VPN] VSU-2000 problems

I am very green when it comes to VPN's, so please don't laugh...

I just installed a VSU-2000 and configured the VPN using Avaya's VPNmanager
software.  I set it up to use a pre-shared secret but I can't seem to get it
to pass secure packets when I log in using the client software ( VPNremote
client).  Do I need to install some sort of certificate.  If so, how do I
acquire this cert?  

This is the error I get on the client software log:

<11>VPNREMOTE [1]: Wed Sep 04 08:57:21 2002: Unable to enforce split
tunneling for 192.168.1.0

I checked the log via the console on the VSU-2000 and it shows no errors.
It authenticates my user just fine.  

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
