Good job, Sandy;
don't forget ssh, even though it is argued about being a 'vpn tool', it
IS used a LOT.
Also, check out IBM's developerworks; they've got some great info's
there and I
have seen some documents about some interesting uses of ssh there.
 Personally,
I like using remote X11 over ssh; Anyone know why that's not a good idea?
I guess if the session fails, my applications close, whereas with, say,
VNC, the
application would still be running on the remote desktop.
I often run a small graphical system monitor remotely from various
systems, though,
just over a local network, and it does not require that the remote
systems run a full graphical session themselves, so that lightens the
load a bit.
On another note, is anyone using hardware encryption to speed up ssh??
cheers, ciaou
