Hi,

I am new to this topic and I have following doubt which is very basic.

I read that virtual routers have independent IP routing and forwarding
tables and that no specific extensions needed for the routing protocols, and
no
restriction on the type of routing protocols used.
How it is achieved?. How routing protocols learn and maintain different
routing information instances?
Is there any specications/ papers avaibable to help me.?

Thanks
-vani
