Port Scanner???? Use nmap, http://www.insecure.org/nmap
Opening and shutting down ports requires that you either have something
listening or not. You can block ports or make them respond in certain ways
by installing a Firewall.

Subject: Red Hat & Solaris port security
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knew of commands within Red Hat and Solaris that
you could manually shutdown and open up ports. Also, is there utilities
that I can scan the ports to verify which ones are open and which ones are
closed?
Thankyou for all of your help in the past!
