There is no import restriction for the US for crypto.  The only issue with
OpenBSD you'd have as a US user is the RSA patent.  That problem
goes away after September 29th.  I believe one can get patent-free
distros of OpenBSD (which may be what you're referring to.)

(I realize you may know this Patrick, but for the benefit of other readers
on the list who may misread your statement...)
