Nasty evil protocols with IP addresses embedded in them break via SSH.

Also, the Palm application model forbids straightforward port
forwarding. When the web browser is running, SSH isn't, and vice-versa.

I've threatened to write a SOCKS5 hackmaster hack that traps the call to
open the network library, and is compatible with Aventail's SOCKS5 over SSL
VPN. No idea if I'll ever have enough round tuits to do so, though. The same
methodology could be used for IPSec.
