Hello All,

I'm once again the Security track chair for Open Source Word in San
Francisco. As a bonus, this year it DOESN'T conflict with BlackHat/
Defcon! So I wanted to put out an invitation to those on the list who
might be interested in education the non-security focused folks at
Open Source World about security issues.

Some Background:

Open Source Word is the replacement for LinuxWorld (which has been
retired). This gives me even more flexibility in being inclusive of a
much broader set of Open Source related technologies than before
(though I tended to wander from the Linux specific before anyways).
Open Source world will be a different show than what Linux World was
in the past not only in content but structure. The program committee
has been given a lot of room to revamp and make a show that's much
more informative to the on the ground enterprise tech person, who's
got to get real work done (and hopefully in an interesting way).

What I'm looking for are people who have some security related talk/
presentation that is in some way based or involves upon Open Source
technology. I'm not looking for proprietary software sales pitches.
If your product is Open Source, really cool, and security related it
will be considered. If you just want to talk about things that you
think the Open Source community is getting wrong in security, it will
be considered. If it's Open Source I want to hear about it.

So, if you are interested, please just email me directly and we can
talk. I've found great presenters from the local security community
here to present, and always happy to have both old and new presenters
come out to the show and enlighten the masses.

Cheers,
David
