Short answer: yes.

Assuming you use the same options for --prefix, --datadir, --confdir,
etc. during the compile, osiris will reuse the old configuration in your
osiris directory.  It is recommended to backup your system or at the
least backup the osiris directory in the event of a catastrophe.
