[osiris] Scans that don't end

I have Osiris 4.2.3, all was running perfectly for about 3 weeks, and then things went down hill. 

About ½ of my hosts are no longer reporting back, and doing a status on them says "scanning host environment" and will continue on to the next day, at which time I get a message that the scan couldn't run because one was running already.

 

I have tried the following:

killing the process and restarting the service and manually launching the scan

changing the config to look in just 1 dir with 1 file

reinstalling the scan agent

rebooting both the client and the management server

 

None of which have had any success, I attempted to bring up another management server but I am getting a md5 error with that so I haven't been able to finish testing with the 2nd server. I have not been able to isolate what is different or the same on all machines that would be causing the problems.

 

Client machines are Centos (linux) Windows 2000 and Windows 2003.

 

Anyone have any ideas?
