Hi, all.
I've been tinkering, and tinkering, and tinkering, trying to find a good
config for my Slackware Linux boxes. I can get too much noise, or risk
missing signal, but haven't been able to find the right balance after 3
weeks of tweaking.

Does anyone have a good config for Slackware Linux, that they've found
works well? In particular, I like to keep an eye on /var/tmp and /var/run
and /dev/.udev since that's where a lot of hack-kits lay their eggs, yet
not get overrun by every single user's .viminfo and .bash_history changing
any time they login.

I can keep tinkering. And tinkering. And tinkering some more. But if
someone could share their config, it'd save me a whole lot of time (and
tinkering).
