it doesn't make sense to stop there.  It's either strict or we might as 
well throw in regex support.  Anything in between is not worth it over time 
-in my opinion.

So, do we support regular expressions?  What directives do we support them 
in?

I'm not set on it, it is just the best I have come up with so far.  As a 
programmer, I'm comfortable with it.  I've thought it might read better 
using double quotes:

    ignore file( "core" )

I'm really not too concerned with the actual syntax until the funtionality 
is solid.  I think we're close now.
