Just make sure that you document it well.  My concern stems from
similar features in Windows power cleaners.  Users occasionally decide
the best course of action is to remove all but one of them.  Which of
course is usually the wrong thing.

So my advice would be to make it clear that while you can find such
dupicates you can't say why the exist, there are many ligit reasons
for this, and that the user needs to proceed with caution.
