hello! thanks for responding :) im currently in the process of trying to get it to do the same thing again in order to pull up a log, but would the fact that the mac address for the invalid frame is coming from a single client make any difference, as i have a few devices on the network including a android cellhphone and a mac that are producing the category 3 messages, the one that is producing them is windows 7 laptop. also for hostapd, i have a dwa-552 wifi card running on a proliant dl380 server. i will also grab the config file too incase there are any obvious errors.<div>

</div>Since this issue may be something outside the scope of hostapd (assuming<br>
you are indeed saying that the AP is unresponsive and not that hostapd<br>
process terminated), it may be a bit difficult to get any useful<br>
information from hostapd. This type of issue may require getting more<br>
debug information from the driver and/or capture file from a wireless<br>
sniffer as the next step to figure out what exactly is happening.<br>
