</div>If you are using NetworkManager, then it&#39;s expected that you&#39;d let<br>
NetworkManager control the interface and not use the command-line to do<br>
so.  Using the command-line and NetworkManager at the same time will<br>
make each step on the others toes.  NetworkManager does have the<br>
facility to ignore specific devices you tell it to ignore, but that<br>
mechanism is distro-dependent.<br>
