We should pick up this discussion again since I've started work on this
in order to be able to have P2P Device address == P2P Interface address
for our driver. I think the addresses should be (pre-)assigned by the
driver.

The kernel patches to allow having a separate P2P Device in the kernel
(without a netdev!) are here:
