Running WPA_SUPPLICANT on Windows

I want to see the supplicant running and be able to debug its code from
VS.

 

I managed to build the wpa_supplicant solution found in vs2005 folder
which have six projects and the wpa_supplicant project has the entry
point.

What shall I do next? I know the that I can start the supplicant either
with GUI or CMD LINE. I want to use the cmd line.

What shall I do ? start the wpa_cli project? Or wpa_supplicant? And how
to start it ?
