Here's an updated patch-set.  There were some merge issues in
the netlink driver, but I think I got them done OK.  In general,
this is the trickiest patch and needs the most review:

We have tested hostapd lightly, and the wpa_supplicant
part pretty heavily.  Earlier, we tested the wext driver
well with wpa_supplicant, but now we are using the netlink
driver.  I'll post new patches if we find any bugs in our
further testing.
