wpa_supplicant + ti1251 (tiwlan)

I've considered this alternative, but according to Bob Copeland's log 
[1] the wl12xx driver is far inferior to the TI-supplied one. I am also 
not sure the power-saving features can be used if I deploy it.

Do you have any experience with building and installing this driver on 
Android?
