The problem of having 2 SSIDs but only one control socket is show on Openwrt running hostpad/wpad ( version v0.8.x ) and here is the sniplet of the hostapd.conf :-

ctrl_interface=/var/run/hostapd-phy0

wmm_ac_vi_acm=0
wmm_ac_vo_aifs=2
wmm_ac_vo_cwmin=2
wmm_ac_vo_cwmax=3

ssid=OpenWrt2

wmm_enabled=1
bssid=00:25:9c:49:e6:49
ignore_broadcast_ssid=0
bss=wlan1
auth_algs=1
wpa=0
ssid=OpenWrt3
bridge=br-lan
wmm_enabled=1
bssid=06:25:9c:49:e6:49
ignore_broadcast_ssid=0

Two SSIDs ( Openwrt2 & Openwrt3 ) are created with network interface wlan0 and wlan1 respectively but only one control socket (wlan0) is created in /var/run/hostapd-phy0 and so can't use hostapd_cli to monitor the events on wlan1.
