It is used to configure EAPOL frame reception to enable packet reception
from another network interface. This is needed on Linux when the packet
socket does not actually receive EAPOL frames from the main WLAN network
device.

Though, it should be possible to figure this out automatically and
remove the bridge configuration option. Or alternatively, make it
actually add the WLAN interface into a bridge which may needed with the
current Linux kernel code since there is some validation that may not
allow this to be done with brctl before the WLAN interface type has been
changed.
