Okay, I downloaded compat-wireless-2010-02-20.tar.bz2 and unpacked it, then:
# make
(I had to disable some cdc_ether config items)
# make install
# modprobe -r ath9k
# modprobe -r mac80211
# modprobe ath9k

And same results.
