You can install MadWifi or use ath5k from the kernel.  As it stands now,
ath5k supports the AP mode in Linux 2.6.31-rc2, but not in 2.6.30 or any
other release.  So installing MadWifi should be an easier option if you
don't want to switch to a pre-release kernel.
