Hi Kiran,

While connecting to AP, it is definitely possible to connect to Hidden AP 
using ap_scan=2. In this case wpa does active scanning and gets associated.

If we use ap_scan=1, then it does passive scanning and gets associated.

What I wrote is only performing scanning operation, where in if you want to 
scan for perticular AP(ssid) and get the scanned result ssid is not possible 
with wpa_supplicant. For that you should use hidden AP ioctl command 
provided by your chip vendor.

Ask your driver team, they will tell you ioctl to be used for hidden AP scan 
(only scan).
