802.11b cards?

I have been trying to get 802.11b cards working with wpa_supplicant
our set up uses dynamic wep keys and peap here is my wpa_supplicant.conf


ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
ctrl_interface_group=0
update_config=0

network={
        ssid="uofs"
        key_mgmt=IEEE8021X
        pairwise=TKIP
        group=TKIP WEP104 WEP40
        eap=PEAP
        phase2="auth=MSCHAPV2"
}


I couldn't get this working with UBUBTU 6.06 and a cisco aironet 350
anyoneone know what chipsets work better in this kind of application
