Howto plug wpa_supplicant and dhcdbd

Hi all,

is there any way to let wpa_supplicant initiate a DHCP request ?
Do I just have to configure dhcdbd and wpa_supplicant correctly?

Or do I need some other software that observes wpa_supplicant and calls 
dhcdbd / dhcpcd / dhclient after the computer is connected to a wireless 
network?
Perhaps something like networkmanager...

Any hints would be greatly appreciated.
