Thanks everyone for all that valuable help.

I guess I'm almost done with this part of the process.
Now, after having done a change to the driver code, having compiled as you
all have guided me throgh, and run the depmod -ae command, I should reload
the module, if I did not understand wrongly.

Well, I tried using rmmod, and modprobe -r in order to remove hostap and
hostap_cs (for those are the modules the card's using) but failed, since
"they were in use".
I tried bringing down the interface through "ifconfig wlan0 down", but,
even with that, the modules seemed to still be in use.
Are those modules already using the new code?
If not, how should I make that module reload (without restarting computer)?

I've noticed with:
modinfo
that the modules have a path /lib/modules/linuxversion/extra (if I recall
correctly, will put the exact path as long as I've again access to the
computer) are those the ones in use? (extra folder only has the hostap
modules, thus I assume they're the "new" modules after the compilation)
How to ensure those new modules are the ones used?

Thank you once again for all your support.
