WPA Supplicant to syslog

Hi,

I know this has been discussed before, but am having trouble figuring out
what the answer was.

Is there a way to make wpa_supplicant log to syslog when daemonized?  I
found a patch claiming to do it for an older version but couldn't make it
work for 0.4.9.

I notice in the source that it states that output can go to stdout or
syslog, but bot sure if the code made it in.  Also saw that the 0.5 versions
were going to have syslog support in, but the changelog didn't mention it.

Does anyone know how to make this happen?
