Problem with SIOCSIWPMKSA

Hello Experts,

I will try to be as professional as I can an hope that you do not blame
me. I try the best and I have read the manual.

I am running SuSE 9.2 and have a working setup for a wlan with wep
encryption
Now I thought beeing more secure and use WAP.

So I compiled wpa_supplicant-0.5.5 and followed the instructions from
the readme. But there is a probelm which I try to solve all day but
nothing works out.

I have left the working installation with wep, I change at the AP that
the SSID gets broadcarsted and I changed the wep setting to WAP-PSK.
The client I left untouched and ran there:

wpa_supplicant -iwlan0 -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf -Dndiswrapper -dd

Two things I saw in the log which I started working on:
Initializing interface (2) 'wlan0'
ioctl[SIOCSIWPMKSA]: No such device
SIOCGIWRANGE: too old (short) data - assuming WPA is not supported

I have searched the web, to understand the message but did not solve the
problem - though I leared about wap.... Maybe some one can help me ou
there ?

The other issue: wpa_driver_wext_set_key: alg=0 key_idx=1 set_tx=0
seq_len=0 key_len=0 ioctl[SIOCSIWENCODEEXT]: No such device
well should I even have this in the list? I only have the ndiswrapper
driver.

Thanks a lot for any hint
Michael
