guys.

i didnt really wanted to offend someone.
some want madwifi some want other, its ok.

i tried to just talk about *facts*. if facts are destructive that can be.
madwifi team and fans must take it.

fact is 2x damage *from*
frequently switching off the laptop to restart after driver crashes.
no other cause, the device was plant-new.

just, lets wait if some other developer/tester joining madwifi
with his laptop and a dwl-g650 (mostly without reset button) can confirm.

i cant confirm, that madwifi is the reason. so i take hereby back what i
said so. but it *is* the reason for the need to power off a running device.

i think *from my experience* and some confirmation from others in electronics
history that powering off unreset devices could damage them.
this *could* also happen with every other driver in development on such
a system.

and i just wanted to point to an alternative for atheros drivers,
is this allowed or has hostap become a proprietary club now
because of 1 core-proprietary driver?

thx
y
tom
