wpa_supplicant+wpa-psk+hide-ssid

Hi If I hide my ssid broadcast and try to associate with wpa_supplicant 
I can't connect to the AP(this happens in my laptop with WPA-psk at home 
and EAP-TTLS in my university, with my desktop computer at home is the 
same thing).If I hide my ssid but I disable wpa-psk in AP it works ok 
with iwconfig ath0 essid myssid. Don't know what else to do(the problem 
is in the university of course).
