[PATCH 2/2] [0.4.8] dbus control interface

What would be a good way of testing this? Are there some test or
monitoring programs that show dbus events and could invoke commands
etc.? I've never used dbus, so I don't really know what to expect from
it. Changes themselves looked fine based on a quick browse (well, apart
from me wanting to get them first for 0.5.x branch), but I would like to
see them in action with dbus, so that I have some way of testing them.
