wpa_supplicant is licensed under dual GPLv2 or BSD license, i.e.,
whoever makes a derivative work can choose which one to use. Of course,
I would prefer that everyone would use similar licensing and make all
changes available, but there is no requirement for doing that.

I'll send you contact information for the company I work for
(Devicescape). Other ports that I've heard of have sounded more like
private ports within some companies, so I don't know whether they are
available.
