windows xp supplicant ?

Hi

I´m trying to get wpa-psk to work with hostapd v0.4.1
windowsxp and madwifi
everything is working perfect with wpa_supplicant
but not xp supplicant
im starting hostapd with -dd
but i don´t get any debug data when trying to connect.
When testing i´m able to successfull psk connect to a
linksys ap, with xp supplicant.
before fireing up hostapd i´m also able to ping the ap
host, but after starting hostapd its all dead :(
what am i missing here ??! ?
all service packs are in place ?!
