FW: crashing! [but workable]

Can this be ndiswrapper related??

Bearing in mind wpa_supplicant crashes my pc whether the interface is up
or down?

I'd like to increase debug levels but im not sure how too.

If I run it with the ctrl interface stuff uncommented then I get:

===========================================

Reading configuration file '/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf'
Line 2: Invalid configuration line
'ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant'.
Line 3: Invalid configuration line 'ctrl_interface_group=users'.
Priority group 0
   id=0 ssid='Foundation'
Failed to read configuration file '/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf'.

==========================================

But anyway I saw a tread the jouni said it can be left uncommented or
add:

CONFIG_CTRL_IFACE=y

Even if I add the above to my .config the do a 'make clean' then make
and copy over the files I still get the error:

===============

Initializing interface 'wlan0' conf '/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf' driver
'default'
Configuration file '/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf' ->
'/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf'
Reading configuration file '/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf'
Line 2: Invalid configuration line
'ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant'.
Line 3: Invalid configuration line 'ctrl_interface_group=users'.
Priority group 0
   id=0 ssid='Foundation'
Failed to read configuration file '/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf'.

===============================

And I chmod 777 /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf and I'm using a PCI Card not a
PCMCIA

Anyway if I recomment those lines leave the interface down (which
suggests that this is not a problem with ndiswrapper I get:

uncommented it works with me in SuSE 9.2 with ndiswrapper 1.2rc1 and
wpa_supplicant 0.3.8.
The above is only wpa_supplicant stuff.

I use the same three lines and it works.

If I start the system and the wireless PCMCIA card is in the system it
works
OK. Starting without the card and then insertibg the card is also OK.
Shutting down the system with init 0 or 6 works OK as well.
However ifdown or removing the card crashes the system; only a power
down
after that works. For me it is workable.

I have the feeling that ndiswrapper is not robust enough.
