Force client to AP

Hello

Is it possible to force a client (hostap in manged mode) to connect only  particular
AP even if there would be another APs with the same ssid?

What iwpiv command is needed?

Is this enought? Any side effects?
  iwpriv wlan0 host_roaming 1
  iwconfig wlan0 ap 00:55:88:44:33:11

This will always select AP 00:55:88:44:33:11 and if the AP is not online the client
waits and connects after the AP comes available?
