Seems that the kernel doesn´t insert the hostap.ko because it was 
compiled with a newer GCC.

Maybe it has to do with MODULE_VERSIONING (CONFIG_MODVERSIONS)
Try to recompile your kernel and hostap with the same compiler.
Or try to load with insmod -f
