CVS snapshot version problems

Hi

I'm using Red Hat 9, kernel ver: 2.4.20-8. I've installed and used hostap
0.1.3 and 0.2.0 and
the hostap CVS snapshot previous to the one recently put up,
successfully.
However , the new CVS dev. snapshots seem to be causing some trouble.
I've always installed hostap
using "make pccard" for my PCL RoadLannerWave PRISM 3 PCMCIA card because
the "make" command gave errors.
Anyway , using Make pccard used to work just fine. Now, the dev. snapshot
version doesnt have "make pccard"
, so im guessing a simple "make" should do the needful ?

well , this is what i get :

   [root at localhost hostap]# make
   make -C /usr/src/linux-2.4 SUBDIRS=/project/test/hostap/driver/modules
modules
   make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8'
   make -r -f tmp_include_depends all
   make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8'
   touch: creating
`/usr/src/build/231485-i386/install/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8/fs/jfs/jfs_debug.h':
No such file or directory
   make[2]: ***
[/usr/src/build/231485-i386/install/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8/fs/jfs/jfs_debug.h]
Error 1
   make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8'
   make[1]: *** [tmp_include_depends] Error 2
   make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8'
   make: *** [2.4] Error 2
[root at localhost hostap]#

  then i tried "make install"

[root at localhost hostap]# make install
find /lib/modules/2.4.20-8 -name "hostap*" | xargs rm -f
  gcc -O2 -D__KERNEL__ -DMODULE -Wall -g -c -DMODVERSIONS -include
/usr/src/linux-2.4/include/linux/modversions.h -fomit-frame-pointer -c -o
driver/modules/hostap_crypt_wep.o driver/modules/hostap_crypt_wep.c

this goes on for really long !

I havent recompiled the kernel since my previous hostap install. I read
somewhere , that the CVS version
was fixed particularly for Red Hat kernels for having caused an error
similar to the one shown above.
I tried this after downloading the latest release just yesterday
(24/5/04). So I presume I have the supposedly fixed version.
Also , I did apply the 2.4.20-8 kernel patches as mentioned in the
kernel-patches README.

  Any suggestions ?

  Regards,
  Ashwin
