See my other comment... I fundamentally disagree that HostAP must be in
the tree before 802.11 stack work can commence.
I would be willing to create a "wireless-2.6" branch of netdev, and
maintain patches in there [posted to netdev, of course] until the 802.11
stack is ready to merge. That might be a more reasonable approach, and
we could put HostAP in there.
