The 802.11 layer has no binary component and has been re-licensed with
a dual-BSD/GPL license explicitly so that it can be used by Linux folks
w/o any qualms. Please understand that while this code is visible to
Linux users only as part of the madwifi (Atheros) project it is in fact
device-independent and on BSD systems has been used for many years to
support functionality similar to hostap for Prism cards.
Anyway, this is not a relevant topic for this mailing list so
interested folks should discuss this elsewhere.
