You cannot use two driver's at the same time for the same device. You
will need to unload the orinoco driver first if it is a kernel module.
If it is linked into the kernel, you will need to first remove it to be
able to use another driver.

I haven't seen this message before. Anyway, hostap module is certainly
not supposed to taint the kernel when loaded.

You cannot use any Host AP tools before you change the driver.
hostap_pci will not get change to use the device as long as something
else is controlling it.
